Spotted Joe Pye Weed is a striking plant that pollinators love. It has an architectural form, with a straight central stem that can reach over 8 feet tall in good conditions. Whorls of leaves at widely spaced intervals surround a stem that can be purpleish. It is endangered or threatened in parts of its native range.

Sow Spotted Joe Pye Weed in the Fall in a low-lying area. It likes deep rich organic soils near streams.
